The Great Gatsby and the 20's
During the beginning of this week, we are looking into the Great Gatsby, a novel written by F. Scott Fitzgerald in the 1920's. While in the beginning of the movie it looks like everything is fine in the 20's, the movie also shows some critique of the time they were in.
Some key things to think about while we are watching the movie:
- What are some similarities and differences between the 20's and now?
- How do you think the author might be critiquing society of the time?
- Do you think things have improved since then? Why or why not?

Example: "I felt that the 1920's was more shallow than these days."
Better Example: "I felt the 1920's was more shallow than modern day society because of the lack of care which people showed each other in the movie. For example.... "
